About Louise
Starting therapy can feel strange - like you're sharing your thoughts and worries with someone you've just met. So let's get to know each other.
I'm a registered psychologist based in Alderley, Brisbane. I'm also a mum, a wife, and a DIY enthusiast navigating my 40s with laughter and curiosity. I understand that life is often layered and messy - even when it looks put together on the outside.

I became a psychologist because I genuinely love people and hearing their stories. I've always been curious about what shapes us - what helps us grow, and what quietly weighs us down. After many years working as a counsellor in universities and TAFE, and now in private practice, I continue to be struck by how capable, thoughtful people can carry enormous internal pressure without anyone noticing. So many people look like they're coping while feeling overwhelmed, exhausted, or unsure of themselves underneath.
No matter how long the day is or how complex the issues, I truly love my job. It's a privilege to sit with people as they make sense of their experiences, connect the dots between past and present, and begin to feel steadier again. Watching someone's symptoms soften and their confidence return never gets old.
My approach is warm, collaborative and practical. Therapy with me isn't about being analysed from a distance - it's about working together to understand what's happening and building tools that actually help in real life.
When I'm not working, I'm usually navigating the chaos of parenthood, making art, spending time in the garden, or appreciating the quiet moments in between.
If you're considering therapy, you don't need to have everything figured out before reaching out. We can start exactly where you are.
